What is TARP?
GSCA's Theater Attendance Reporting Program (TARP) is a benefit of GSCA membership. With this powerful but easy-to-use program, theaters report their total attendance monthly and are then able to compare their data relative to aggregate data. Individual theater data is anonymous and viewable only by each theater's designated TARP administrator(s). GSCA members who are not with a theater or are not TARP administrators are able to view aggregate data.
What data is available?
Data tables show attendance totals for the current month, current month vs. last year and vs. the three-year average, year-to-date, and year-to-date vs. last year and vs. the three-year average. The report also analyzes totals by different theater types: institutional, commercial, North American, non-North American, flat screen, dome screen, 3D, and non-3D. Other theater attributes may be tracked and added to the reports in the future. To view data for different months, use the pulldown menus under “View Report” to select the month and year you wish to view. Then click on “Show Report.”
Who can view the data?
All GSCA members are able to view cumulative data once they log in with their GSCA user name and password. GSCA has identified TARP administrators for each theater, and program administrators have access to entering and viewing their theater’s data in addition to viewing the cumulative reports. Data specific to an individual theater is accessible only by the person(s) designated as administrator for that theater. GSCA does not share individual theater data.
How do I enter my data?
- If you are a designated program administrator for your theater, log in above with your GSCA user name and password by clicking on "login" in the upper right corner of your screen. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need your login or are not able to access the program.
- Once you log in, the program will appear on your screen below. Your theater will be highlighted in green, just above the different reporting parameters. Click on “Edit My Attendance Info” in that green box.
- Enter your data in the appropriate monthly field and click on “save” at the bottom of the screen. Please note: you must click on "save" rather than using the enter/return key on your keyboard.
- To enter past data, change the year in the pulldown menu and click on “change year.” You can go as far back as 2000. Make sure you click on "save" before you leave the page.
Please check your theater profile
When you log into the reporting program, you will see an option to view your theater profile. Please take a moment to review that and make sure everything is listed correctly. We want to ensure categories are analyzed correctly. To update the theater information or add designated administrators to your theater profile, please contact email@example.com.
