Rethinking the S3D Digital Camera System for GSCA
Presented by Jonathan Kitzen, Meduza Systems
The needs of the giant screen are very unique, and standard Stereoscopic 3D systems are not optimized for this format. Meduza Systems has attempted to develop a new camera system that addresses the needs of GSCA. Specifically, the camera captures in the 15/70 aspect ratio 4:3 and at greater than 4K resolution per eye, for a minimum resolution increase of 33% over other systems. The camera system is designed completely from the ground up for purpose and is not two cameras synched together, but rather one camera capable of taking two eye views. At under 20 pounds, it is compact while offering both variable IA and convergence functions matched with mil-spec custom optics that allow for maximum resolution in a small compact yet flexible package. Nothing like it has been built previously in the history of S3D. Click here to contact Jonathan Kitzen if you have questions about his presentation.

Bigger. Better. Brililiant.
Presented by Nicole Phillips, Kodak
The KODAK Brilliant Laser Technology adds a new dimension to digital cinema projection in both 2D and 3D. This unique, full projector design leverages the best attributes of lasers to deliver high dynamic range, wide color gamut, high optical efficiency, low energy usage, and substantially brighter 3D than systems common in the industry. More than just a new light source, it also resolves the tough problem of laser speckle. Since the invention of lasers some 50 years ago, engineers and scientists have made many attempts to use laser technology for high quality motion picture projection. With KODAK Laser Brilliant Laser Technology, now you can. Click here to contact Nicole Phillips or here to contact Raymond Rayas if you have questions about the presentation.

Ultimate Flexibility: It's All About Content
Presented by Alan Caskey, Global Immersion
All theaters want to increase attendance, and the world of digital media provides more content, more possibilities, more experiences for more audiences. Your digital theater needs a highly flexible integrated media system to exploit the new media and alternative content. Go beyond DCI—use digital technology to let your audience experience a new hyper reality. Click here to contact Alan Caskey if you have questions about his presentation.

Digital Cinema and 3D Technology: Considerations When Converting to Digital and 3D in Your Theater
Presentered by Kevin Faul, RealD
This session is a basic digital conversion 101, introducing digital technology and discussing considerations when converting to digital (and 3D) in your theater. The objective of this session is taking away the myths, fears, and misunderstandings of digital technology and several topics will be reviewed at a basic level: projectors and 2K vs. 4K resolution, digital cinema servers, screens, brightness levels, and the basics of 3D technology. GSCA does not have permission to post this presentation, but Kevin Faul welcomes your questions. Click here to contact Kevin.
