Helping You Be Successful in the Giant Screen Industry
The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is a vibrant international organization devoted to the business of producing, distributing, and exhibiting giant screen films. GSCA’s network includes more than 300 member organizations from over 30 countries representing theaters, producers, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and others in the industry.
Members build strong business relationships, alliances, and partnerships in the giant screen marketplace to the benefit of everyone in the industry. These relationships are cultivated in person at the highly attended and content-rich industry events and online via the robust website. Members also benefit from a variety of membership discounts and access to members-only portions of the GSCA website.
THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AND TRADE SHOW AND THE FILM EXPO: Attending events organized by the GSCA is the best way to be continuously involved in the giant screen marketplace. Twice a year the association hosts major events in which the industry comes together to see film, share best practices, meet with colleagues, and celebrate success. It is the most significant way to be engaged in the industry.
NETWORKING: Be part in the active network of the GSCA. GSCA events are the marketplace for developing partnerships, negotiating film deals, and uncovering job opportunities.
As a member you receive DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION FEES for these events. These events fill quickly, as do the hotels that host them. As a member you have advanced notice of all events and receive the first opportunity to register at discounted rates.
PRESENT AND PROMOTE BUSINESS: Present and promote products and services at the GSCA International Conference and Trade Show and Film Expo through sponsorship, exhibits and advertisements at special member-only rates.
PARTICIPATE AS AN EXPERT: Participate as an expert on a professional development panel at one of our conferences.
HOST A CONFERENCE: Bid to become the host for a GSCA International Conference and Trade Show or the GSCA Film Expo.

GSCA DATABASE: Receive a free listing for your company in the GSCA database as well as access to the online member directory.
CONFERENCE MATERIALS: Access conference materials such as professional development handouts and session audio files.
DOCUMENT LIBRARY: Access GSCA’s document library of relevant industry articles.
ONLINE FORUMS: Participate in online forums and industry bulletin boards, and list postings for free in the industry job bank and classified ads.
E-NEWS: Receive a free subscription to the GSCA e-News, the GSCA’s electronic newsletter covering news and important association information. Reach other members with a message in the GSCA e-News by advertising, announcing a new product or service, providing a film production update, or listing a personnel change. Member news is also included on the GSCA website.
PRESS COVERAGE: Inclusion in GSCA press releases. Recipients of GSCA awards, board and committee members, sponsors, exhibitors, and advertisers are examples of those listed in GSCA’s press releases.
LOW FEES FOR FILM SCREENINGS: Present your new giant screen film, film in production, or project in development to delegates at the GSCA International Conference and Trade Show and at the GSCA Film Expo, which are the largest gatherings of industry decision makers.
COMPLETE ONLINE LISTING OF FILMS: Access an online listing of all new films, films in production, and projects in development.
SURVEY RESULTS: Receive confidential survey results of films in production and films in development presented at the GSCA International Conference and Trade Show. Results summarizing reactions to films are collected from film buyers.

GSCA developed Bigger. Bolder. Better.® to differentiate the giant screen experience and support members in their efforts to communicate and market that differentiation. The program is available to GSCA members in good standing (i.e. dues have been paid) whose theaters qualify for GSCA’s Certified Giant Screen® designation. THEATER ATTENDANCE REPORTING: Access cumulative reports that contain theater data averages as a whole or based on particular criteria.This program allows theaters to confidentially input monthly theater attendance on a secured area of the GSCA website. This ongoing statistical analysis allows participating theaters to access and review reliable trends for theater attendance in a secure environment for benchmarking and internal reporting.
VIEWER AND NONVIEWER RESEARCH STUDY: This research program, last completed in 2003, gathered comprehensive information about current and likely giant screen consumers. GSCA is currently conducting updated audience research, with a full report available by the 2014 International Conference and Trade Show in September. With this information GSCA members, including filmmakers, film distributors, and theater owner and operators can work to build the industry’s audience base. This survey is available complimentary to GSCA members.
STAFF: Professional support from GSCA staff to help use the strengths of the association to navigate through the industry and make connections. Utilize staff to locate a distributor’s contact, confidentially search for position leads within the industry, or get a referral for an expert in the industry. GSCA is a member-driven organization with a professional staff dedicated to serving you.
GOVERNANCE: Serve on a GSCA committees and help shape the association and industry.
