January 31, 2008--After 20 years at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) Mark Brittell is heading off on his own. With the creation of Giant Screen Consulting services Mark is now available to share his talents with the entire industry.
During his career at the museum, Mark launched over 30 giant screen films, bringing over 3.5 million visitors to OMSI's IMAX theater. Working with multiple distributors, he has helped in an advisory capacity with the creation of many giant screen classics. After upgrading the theater, OMSI shattered box office records for Star Wars: Attack of the Clones as the number one theater in the US. Mark has been a key player in the museum's expansion, mission, and strategic planning, helping make OMSI the world-class institution that it is today.
Working as a member of the GSCA Professional Development Committee he helped organize and participated in the numerous successful sessions at the 2007 conference in Vancouver.
