Hidden Universe Is a Box Office Success in Australia
December 9, 2013—Despite being restricted to just two venues in Australia, the 3D IMAX feature film
has become the ninth best performing Australian film of the year in less than three months. The film is the result of a unique partnership between Swinburne University of Technology's Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing, December Media—one of Australia's most experienced production companies—and Film Victoria.
MacGillivray Freeman Films Honored with Orange County Business Journal Award
December 6, 2013—MacGillivray Freeman Films (MFF) was honored at the Orange County Business Journal’s Fourteenth Annual Family Owned Business Awards ceremony held November 13 in Irvine, California. MFF was one of five winners out of 51 nominees to receive a Family Owned Business Award, winning in the Small Business Category (for businesses with fewer than 50 employees).

Cinematic Innovation Summit to Be Held in Dubai on December 5-6
November 21, 2013—The Cinematic Innovation Summit is taking place in Dubai on December 5-6, 2013, at the Atlantis the Palm, and features visionaries from Hollywood, Silicon Valley, academia, and beyond. A first-of-its-kind event, the summit is a dynamic mix of symposium and interactive space for cutting-edge works and technologies.
The summit is dedicated entirely to the future of cinematic innovation, throwing a spotlight on the changes to come. Co-organized by the Center for New Cinema and naseba, and held in conjunction with the Dubai International Film Festival, the summit will immediately precede the 10th edition of the Film Festival.

is available worldwide to the network of Giant Screen Theaters located in museums and attractions. The film is produced by Rodney Vance of Singular Entertainment and premiered at the Cameo Cinema in the heart of Napa Valley on May 15, 2013.

Air Force Museum Theater Installs Severtson SeVision 3D GX Projection Screen
November 4, 2013—Severtson Corporation, a global leader in innovative and quality projection screens, is pleased to announce that the Air Force Museum Theatre located inside the National Museum of the United States Air Force® at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio has installed a 60-foot x 80-foot SēVision 3D GX projection screen in its recently renovated 400-seat theater. The installation was part of an overall $800,000 audio and video digital conversion project.
Laser Light Engines to Host Series of Laser Projection Demonstrations
November 1, 2013—Laser Light Engines, a provider of universal laser illumination systems for performance projection, is putting on a series of Laser Projection Demonstrations at the Technicolor ITC main theater in Burbank, California. Seven sessions will run from Monday evening, November 11 through Thursday afternoon, November 14th. They will illustrate laser image quality on both silver high gain and white gain 1 screens showing butterfly comparisons of LLE laser to standard Xenon arc lamp illumination. 2D and 3D with 2K, 4K and true 4K 3D Content from the Giant Screen library.

K2 Communications Launches 3Net Studios' First Film "Space: Unraveling the Cosmos"
September 27, 2013—K2 Communications today announced the release of
Space: Unraveling the Cosmos
. Utilizing groundbreaking 3D and 4K computer graphics,
will be released in 3D and 2D, 2K and 4K, as well as in “full dome” format for digital planetariums. The film will be available in a 42 and 22-minute versions.
