Warner Bros. Rock of Ages to Debut in Select IMAX Theaters |
 May 9, 2012—IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that Rock of Ages, based on the hit Broadway musical, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® format and released for a limited domestic engagement in select IMAX® theaters, day-and-date with the film's release on June 15, 2012. Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin.

IMAX Corporation Reports First Quarter 2012 Financial Results |
 April 27, 2012—IMAX Corporation today reported first quarter 2012 revenues of $55.6 million, adjusted EBITDA as calculated in accordance with the company's Credit Facility of $16.4 million, adjusted net income of $4.0 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, and reported net income of $2.6 million, or $0.04 per diluted share. In the first quarter of 2012, the company incurred a charge of $0.7 million to enable certain theaters to play movies, such as The Dark Knight Rises, in either digital or analog format. RealD Surpasses 20,000 3D-Equipped Screens Milestone |
 April 23, 2012—RealD Inc., a leading global licensor of 3D technologies, announced today that the company has surpassed 20,000 RealD 3D-equipped screens at motion picture theatres worldwide. The industry’s most widely used 3D cinema technology, as of the quarter ended March 23, 2012, RealD 3D was available on approximately 20,200 screens at approximately 5,100 locations globally including 11,700 screens in approximately 2,600 domestic locations and approximately 8,500 screens in approximately 2,500 international locations. This represents a 35% increase in the company’s installed base in the last 12 months and a 3% increase during the quarter ended March 23, 2012. To date, approximately 725 million moviegoers around the world have experienced a feature film in RealD 3D.
