May 20, 2104—When a crowd gathered at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk April 17 to hear Patricia Wright speak about the lemurs of Madagascar, she and they did not know she was soon headed for a great honor. Last week, she was named the winner of the 2014 Indianapolis Prize, which is awarded by the Indianapolis Zoo every two years to a person who advances animal conservation initiatives. Wright, a professor at Stony Brook University on Long Island, N.Y., is featured in the new IMAX film, Island of Lemurs: Madagascar, which is playing at the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk’s IMAX theater.
