New Film Delivery Specifications
- Final product delivery deadline to IMAX (no additional work necessary) for New Film content, including Rough or Fine Cuts, is due to IMAX by Friday, February 24, 2025.
- Late or altered content will be charged $100 per day, inclusive of weekends.
- All are encouraged to submit films as early as possible. The earlier the projects are delivered, the more time there is available to address any unexpected issues or concerns that arise.
- It is the responsibility of the producer/distributor to pre-screen content prior to submission. Content will not be tested prior to delivery to the host institution.
- DCPs will be delivered to the host institution for the GSCA technical team and theatre projection staff to ingest for the technical rehearsal where the primary purpose is to set the volume level.
- IMAX will collect all the New Film DCP hard drives received and deliver them as a group to the host institution prior to the event.
- No content should be sent directly to the host institution.
New Film, Rough or Fine Cut DCP’s may be delivered in one of three ways:
ONE: From an existing IMAX master
- Please note, no electronic delivery available.
- Send an existing IMAX DCP from another theater to IMAX and submit your order to IMAX for a KDM to be created, specifying version, and authorizing a KDM range of March 1 – March 31, 2025 or
- Submit an order to IMAX for a DCP to be created from existing IMAX master. Specify the version and authorize a KDM range of March 1 – March 31, 2025. DCP and KDM charges will apply
- Deliver to IMAX as a complete DCP hard drive and include a KDM for the host institution with a date range of March 1 – March 31, 2025.

TWO: For non-IMAX mastered material
- IMAX will add IMAX certification to a DCP for a fee of $1,500, if:
- pre-arranged in writing on the film submission form, by January 24, 2025,
- and delivered to IMAX by Friday, January 31, 2025.
- This service is not available after January 31, 2025.
- Late or redelivered content will be charged $100 per day, inclusive of weekends,
- Content will be encoded with IMAX certification to play at this event only.
- The aspect ratio delivered will be the aspect ratio screened, up to 1.43:1
- On dual projectors, 3D possible
- Enhanced sound features possible
- The content will be technically screened at IMAX and delivered to the host institution for this event.
- After the event, all the source materials will be returned to the submitters and all data will be wiped from IMAX systems.
