2022 GSCA Achievement Awards

The GSCA 2022 Achievement Awards will be presented on September 28 during the GSCA International Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Procedures for each award category are outlined below.

Film Awards

GSCA will present awards for each year the ceremony was not held during the pandemic (2020 and 2021) as well as for 2022 during the ceremony on September 28. The full GSCA Film Awards Critieria can be found here.

Marketing and Education Recognition

There will be no marketing and education awards this year. Because we would still like to celebrate the industry, each distributor can recognize one theater that has done great work. These are not “awards” but rather recognition that will be included in the awards ceremony. Distributors will submit a video up to one minute explaining who you are recognizing and why. The deadline for these submissions is July 20 and can be emailed to tammy@giantscreencinema.com.

Outstanding Achievement

Nominated by GSCA members, the Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes industry contributions of lasting impact. Nominations for the 2022 awards will be accepted until June 17. Criteria and the nominations process for the GSCA Outstanding Achievement Award are available here.

2022 Award Deadlines

  • June 13: Film award submission forms due
  • June 27:  Film files due for virtual screening
  • June 27: Materials for ballot due
  • July 6-20: Films available virtually to voters for awards consideration

2022 Film Award Nominations

Each GSCA member organization is allowed to cast one ballot for the Film Awards. Voting contacts will receive an email on July 6 with voting instructions and a link to the ballot. Ballots must be submitted 11:59 pm EDT on July 20. If you are the voting contact for your organization's GSCA membership and do not receive the ballot, please contact kelly@giantscreencinema.com.
