Travel Tips from Conference Host IMAX Victoria
During the site visit for the conference, GSCA staff took a few vacation days to explore the beautiful cities of Victoria and Vancouver and the gorgeous area around them. We HIGHLY recommend GSCA conference attendees do the same!
The staff at IMAX Victoria in the Royal BC Museum, our hosts in Victoria, have put together a treasure trove of helpful information and tips for attendees. From places to eat and things to do and even how to get there, this website created especially for GSCA conference attendees has it all: www.imaxvictoria.com/gsca
Victoria Conference Facebook Group
If you're on Facebook, IMAX Victoria has also created a private Facebook group so conference attendees can join a running commentary on how to enjoy Victoria to the fullest: GSCA Victoria Facebook group
Transportation in Victoria
Please note that services like Uber and Lyft are not available in British Columbia, so you will need to take taxis. A taxi ride from the airport to the Fairmont Empress is about $60 CDN.
Electronic Travel Authorization
Residents of some countries need to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter Canada. You'll find the list of countries and the application information here.
