On the Wing

On the Wing traces the art of flying in all its various forms in this exploration of the relationship between natural and mechanical flight. The film features spectacular high-speed sequences of insects in flight; Andean condors; Mexican free-tailed bats; re-creations of the Wright brothers' 1902 Glider and 1903 Flyer; and QN-The Time Traveler, the lifelike replica of the prehistoric pterodactyl Quetzalcoatlus Northropi.
