April 28, 2017—The newly renovated Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium at the Liberty Science Center is the world's largest IMAX dome theater (27-meter diameter) and will soon have the world's largest digital giant screen dome system with a True8K™ Digistar 6 system from Evans & Sutherland (E&S). This will be the world's first True8K giant screen digital dome, replacing a 1570 film system. The theater will open with the new system this fall.

The groundbreaking new laser technology will replace the current IMAX film projection system and further enhance The IMAX Experience® for guests.

April 13, 2017—Euromax, the European Association for giant screen, specialty and institutional documentary films, has announced its 2017 annual meeting film slate and program. The annual event will be hosted at Parc du Futuroscope in Poitiers, France, June 18-20, in a year that marks the major French theme park’s 30th anniversary.

April 11, 2017—IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) and ODEON
Cinemas Group, including its Nordic Cinema Group subsidiary, both wholly owned
by AMC (NYSE:AMC), and the largest cinema operator in Europe, today announced
they signed a binding term sheet for 25 new IMAX® theatre systems to be located
throughout Europe. Under the agreement, 10 IMAX theatres have been identified
and will be added to existing ODEON complexes throughout the UK/Ireland,
Germany, Spain and Italy, with the locations of the remaining sites to be
determined throughout Western, Southern and Northern Europe.
