May 29, 2015—For a medium that is so strongly connected with education, there has been little formal research on the outputs and outcomes of watching giant screen films. Although formative and summative evaluations of the films are regularly incorporated into the development and production process, research on such issues as cognition, affect and behavior had not been systematically pursued. May 21, 2015—IMAX Corporation has announced it will be honored by CineEurope with the 2015 CineEurope Award for Achievement Through Innovation. The Award recognizes IMAX’s efforts in pioneering entertainment technology that has set the standard of excellence for premium cinematic experiences. IMAX will receive the Award on June 25 at the CineEurope Conference to be held from June 22 to 25 in Barcelona.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) today reported first quarter 2015 revenues of $62.2 million, adjusted EBITDA as calculated in accordance with the Company's credit facility of $16.0 million, adjusted net income after non-controlling interest of $5.0 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, and reported net income after non-controlling interest of $0.4 million, or $nil per diluted share. The Company also reported a first quarter global per screen average of $202,900.
