September 15, 2020—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce that Evans & Sutherland continues its longstanding commitment to the association and the giant screen industry as a supporting sponsor at GSCA Virtual 2020: Imagine, Engage, Energize. GSCA Virtual 2020 will be held September 22–24.
E&S is a regular sponsor and active participant in GSCA, with a strong focus on emerging technology in digital dome projection. E&S supported the GSCA conference technical sessions in 2015, 2016, and 2018 with substantial investments to conduct dome technology presentations demonstrating current-generation, multi-projector display systems.
“We are thrilled to have E&S’s continued support,” said GSCA Executive Director Tammy Seldon. “Their commitment is invaluable in helping GSCA produce a successful virtual event and provide important resources to the giant screen industry.”
E&S will host a Connection session during GSCA Virtual 2020 on September 23 at 3:15 p.m. US Eastern time. Among the Giant Screen Dome innovations E&S will discuss, the company will share details about the development of LED dome screens for the giant screen industry.
“We are extremely proud to continue our commitment to GSCA as a supporting sponsor for Virtual 2020,” said Kirk Johnson, E&S Executive Vice President and General Manager. “As the industry’s most experienced dome professionals and the leaders in immersive projection, we see the success of GSCA as core to E&S’s mission. We are excited to invest in experience-changing technologies for dome audiences.”
GSCA Virtual 2020: Imagine, Engage, Energize will be the premier gathering of educational giant screen and immersive cinema professionals this year. The virtual event will be held September 22-24 and will feature online screenings of new films, films in production, and projects in development; learning sessions; an innovations session; opportunities to network and connect; and keynote speakers Afdhel Aziz, co-author of Good Is the New Cool: Market Like You Give a Damn, and Bob Cooney, author and mentor to entrepreneurs, who will present “Relaunch—How Companies Are Getting Back to Business.” Conference registration and other event details are available at
