February 19, 2020—
Sinking Ship Entertainment Inc. is pleased to announce a sub-distribution partnership with
D&D Pictures for distribution of
Dino Dana The Movie (25 & 45 minutes) to the Japanese museum and science center market. Based on the popular TV series,
Dino Dana The Movie follows 10-year-old paleontologist-in-training Dana as she imagines dinosaurs into the real world. The movie is an action-packed dinosaur adventure aimed at kids and families and begins its international museum window this June 2020.
“We are thrilled to be working with D&D Pictures. Their expertise and excitement for
Dino Dana The Movie will help bring quality entertainment to new audiences in the Japanese market” says Jennifer Lee Hackett, Manager of Museum and Non-Theatrical Sales for Sinking Ship.
Takehiro Nakayama, Executive Vice President, D&D Pictures said, “When I saw the rough-cut version of
Dino Dana The Movie for the first time at GSCA, I was very impressed. Although most dinosaur films usually pursue only realism, this film expands to include imagination. I believe that it will bring a lot of pleasure for children and families in Japan. We are very honored to be able to distribute this high-quality program in Japan because we feel it transcends racial, cultural and border boundaries”.
D&D is a leader in Japan in the large format market, distributing films to over 120 planetariums and large-format theaters in that territory.
