September 1, 2023—Congratulations to Alan Williams of Silverscreen Music on his nomination for Best Documentary Score for the film Serengeti at the Crystal Pine Awards International Sound and Music Festival, one of the most important sound and film music festivals in the world. A record number of 1,704 films entered the festival competition this year. The winners will be announced at the ceremony on October 14 in Samobor, Croatia.
August 4, 2023—GSCA is thrilled to announce that Greg MacGillivray, Patricia Keighley, and David Keighley have been named recipients of the GSCA 2023 Outstanding Achievement Award. Honorees are nominated by GSCA members and selected by the GSCA Executive Committee based on contributions of lasting impact which best advance the giant screen industry, enhance the immersive cinema experience, promote lifelong learning, and inspire audiences as well as the industry. The awards will be presented during the GSCA Achievement Awards on Tuesday, September 19, at the IMAX Theater at the Indiana State Museum as part of the annual GSCA International Conference.

October 28, 2022—Historic Hotels of America has named Greg MacGillivray of MacGillivray Freeman Films recipient of its 2022 Historian of the Year Award. This award is presented to an individual for making a unique contribution in the research and presentation of history and whose work has encouraged a wide discussion and greater understanding of the history and the diverse heritages and cultures of our nation and the world. The award will be presented at the 2022 Historic Hotels Awards of Excellence Ceremony and Gala at the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama, on November 17.
September 29, 2022—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce the winners of its Film Awards, recognizing excellence in giant screen filmmaking. The awards were presented the evening of Wednesday, September 28, at the GSCA 2022 International Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, during a ceremony held at the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX Theater. As the first in-person GSCA International Conference since September 2019, awards were presented for films released in 2022 as well as for each year the conference was not held during the pandemic. Eligible films are submitted by GSCA member distributors and voted on by GSCA member organizations. IMAX Corporation, sponsor of the awards gala, presented the IMAX Hall of Fame Award, which goes to a giant screen film that is at least 10 years old and is selected by vote of the IMAX theater network.
August 18, 2022—The Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation, Dorsey Pictures, distributor SK Films and their partners are proud to announce that Wings Over Water has been named as a finalist for the Best Ecosystem Film and Sound Categories at the Jackson Wild Media Awards. The Awards will take place on September 29 at Seewinkel National Park in Austria. In addition, the film has also been nominated for the Children’s Award at the prestigious Wildlife Film Festival in Rotterdam. The awards will take place October 8 in the Netherlands.

Wings Over Water has been named as a
finalist for the Web of Life–Long Form Award at Jackson Wild’s World
Wildlife Day Film Showcase. Winners will be announced March 3.

January 25, 2022—Congratulations to Terra Mater Factual Studios and Cosmic Picture on
The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness winning Most Inspiring Adventure Film at this year's Wild and Scenic Film Festival. This year's award-winning films were chosen from a field of over 110 films by a dedicated team of jurors.
October 5, 2021—Congratulations to BBC Earth and SK Films on winning Best Cinematography for Antarctica at this year's Jackson Wild Media Awards! Cinematographers include Alexander Vail, Hugh Miller, John Aitchison, Rolf Steinmann, Mark MacEwen, John Brown, Bertie Gregory, Pete McCowen, Ted Giffords, Dan Beecham, Espen Rekdal, and Justin Hofman.
This year’s Jackson Wild award submissions included over 750 category entries from nearly 30 different countries. Finalists were selected by more than 150 international judges who together screened over 3,000 hours of media. A distinguished panel of final judges from around the globe selected the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Award Winners directly prior to the Summit. Winners were announced during the Jackson Wild Media Awards Ceremony on Sept. 30, 2021. Antarctica is produced by BBC Earth and distributed by SK Films. May 14, 2021—Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) has unveiled
the honorees for
its first HPA League Honors, which recognize diverse members of the
media and entertainment community who shine as examples of
accomplishment, innovation and leadership. Among the honorees is GSCA
board of directors member Patricia Keighley, Chief Quality Guru at IMAX
Corporation, who will receive The Rainmaker Award. The award recognizes a
leader who has deployed intelligent tactics & ensured their
company or organization achieved its sales goals and revenue targets and
honors excellence in financial performance and business
growth.
