October 5, 2021—Congratulations to BBC Earth and SK Films on winning Best Cinematography for Antarctica at this year's Jackson Wild Media Awards! Cinematographers include Alexander Vail, Hugh Miller, John Aitchison, Rolf Steinmann, Mark MacEwen, John Brown, Bertie Gregory, Pete McCowen, Ted Giffords, Dan Beecham, Espen Rekdal, and Justin Hofman.
This year’s Jackson Wild award submissions included over 750 category entries from nearly 30 different countries. Finalists were selected by more than 150 international judges who together screened over 3,000 hours of media. A distinguished panel of final judges from around the globe selected the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Award Winners directly prior to the Summit. Winners were announced during the Jackson Wild Media Awards Ceremony on Sept. 30, 2021. Antarctica is produced by BBC Earth and distributed by SK Films. Benedict Cumberbatch to Narrate; Trailer Premiere Nov. 25

November 25, 2020—SK Films and BBC Earth Natural History Unit announce the release of their upcoming documentary,
Antarctica, which will be narrated by Academy Award® nominee actor, Benedict
Cumberbatch. The film is set to open in select giant screen theaters
and museums in 2021. Trailer premieres on November 25.
Cuba to have industry premiere at the GSCA Conference, with worldwide launch in January 2019

27, 2018—Giant Screen Films, Golden Gate 3D and BBC Earth are pleased to
announce that principal photography for Cuba: Heart of the Caribbean,
one of the most highly anticipated upcoming giant screen releases, was
completed in June, including stunning aerial photography of the island. With
unprecedented access from the Cuban government, Cuba combines state-of-the-art photographic
technology and artistic storytelling to immerse audiences in the rhythms and
exuberance of this vibrant nation. The film will launch worldwide on
January 18, 2019, and is available for pre-lease through Giant Screen Films. The industry premiere screening of Cuba will take place at the 2018 GSCA
Conference in Chattanooga on Sunday, September 23.

August 18, 2017—Giant Screen Films is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Giant Dome Theater Consortium (GDTC) on the upcoming release of Cuba, a groundbreaking giant screen documentary set for worldwide release on May 18, 2018. The GDTC is comprised of seven leading museums across the United States: the Science Museum of Minnesota; the Cincinnati Museum Center; Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago; Discovery Place, Inc., Charlotte; Museum of Science, Boston; Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, San Diego; and the St. Louis Science Center.
