Dino Dana the Movie and Exhibit Get Red-Carpet Treatment at Museum of Discovery and Science

June 21, 2021—Discover the wonders of the Mesozoic era at the Museum of Discovery & Science’s Newest Exhibit and movie, Dino Dana: The Movie, presented by Sinking Ship Entertainment. An official ribbon cutting took place on Saturday, June 5. Guests met Trixie, MODS’ resident baby Triceratops, created make-and-take dinosaur skeletons, watched Dino Dana: The Movie on South Florida's largest screen, and became paleontologist-in-training at MODS’ new Dino Dana stage show

Dino Dana the Movie Premieres on May 22 at Fort Lauderdale's Museum of Discovery and Science

April 20, 2021—Kids will discover the wonders of the Mesozoic era, as Dino Dana, star of Dino Dana The Movie, presented by Safari Ltd.®, and her friends roar into the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS)! Guests can visit the new Dino Dana exhibit, see the coolest dino augmented reality (AR) experience and catch Dino Dana The Movie on the GIANT screen as part of the MODS Discovery Pass. The film will be released on May 22 with official red carpet premieres at MODS on Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6.

34th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival Launches at the Museum of Discovery and Science

Joseph P. Cox Selected as New President/CEO of the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale

December 11, 2017—The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, Florida announced today the appointment of Joseph P. Cox as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of the Museum. Joe Cox will replace Kim Cavendish, the long-time President and CEO of the Museum who is retiring after 30 years of service.  Mr. Cox will assume the position on February 1, 2018.

Museum of Discovery and Science President Kim Cavendish to Retire at the End of 2017

December 7, 2017—Kim L. Cavendish, President/CEO of the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has announced to the Museum’s Board of Trustees that she intends to retire at the end of 2017. She has agreed to stay at MODS through January 31, 2018, with the new CEO starting February 1.
