July 15, 2020—After meaningful consultation with many of its museum
partners, and based on the realities of the Covid-19 pandemic, Giant
Screen Films has decided to move the release of its highly anticipated
large-format film Dinosaurs of Antarctica to February 2021.

Dinosaurs of Antarctica, the latest production
from Giant Screen Films (GSF), launched last week at giant screen and
other immersive theaters worldwide. With over 75 museum-based theaters
signed on thus far, the film promises to be one of the most successful
giant screen releases of 2020 and beyond. Featuring top-tier computer
graphics from the studio responsible for visual effects in
Bladerunner 2049,
Life of Pi and other blockbuster Hollywood titles,
Dinosaurs of Antarctica brings to life a fascinating cast of dinosaurs and other strange creatures, new to audiences and to science.
May 29, 2019—Giant Screen Films (GSF) is pleased to announce Dinosaurs of Antarctica, a
large-format film launching globally into museum and IMAX® cinemas in February
2020. The first original large-format dinosaur film in over a decade, Dinosaurs of Antarctica will
introduce audiences to the amazing and bizarre prehistoric creatures that
inhabited Antarctic forests and swamps hundreds of millions of years ago. With
major support provided by the National Science Foundation, the film follows a
team of paleoecologists on a quest to understand the southern continent’s
profound transformation, from a warm and bio-diverse Mesozoic to the frozen
desert we know today.

have come on board to support the marketing efforts for GSF’s two upcoming

Pacific. Christine and Allison have extensive experience
in film marketing in the giant screen industry.

27, 2018—Giant Screen Films, Golden Gate 3D and BBC Earth are pleased to
announce that principal photography for Cuba: Heart of the Caribbean,
one of the most highly anticipated upcoming giant screen releases, was
completed in June, including stunning aerial photography of the island. With
unprecedented access from the Cuban government, Cuba combines state-of-the-art photographic
technology and artistic storytelling to immerse audiences in the rhythms and
exuberance of this vibrant nation. The film will launch worldwide on
January 18, 2019, and is available for pre-lease through Giant Screen Films. The industry premiere screening of Cuba will take place at the 2018 GSCA
Conference in Chattanooga on Sunday, September 23.
March 7, 2018—BBC Earth, OceanX Media and Giant Screen Films are pleased to announce that Oceans: Our Blue Planet will be narrated by Academy Award winning actress Kate Winslet. Famous for her dozens of iconic and memorable performances throughout her career, she is a seven-time Oscar nominee and recipient of numerous accolades, including an Emmy Award, Grammy Award, three BAFTAs, four Golden Globes and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Films (GSF) are proud to announce that global tech giant Microsoft has come
aboard as the exclusive technology sponsor for
Oceans:
Our Blue Planet, releasing
worldwide on March 16, 2018. Partnering with BBC Worldwide Learning, the
division of BBC’s commercial arm that creates educational content, Microsoft’s
digital and scholastic tools will be deployed for the first time in the museum
arena. The partnership will focus on developing a range of market-tailored
educational activations to support the release of
Oceans:
Our Blue Planet.
September 22, 2017—Tandem Stills + Motion (TSM) and Giant Screen Films (GSF) are pleased to announce that principal photography for Hidden Pacific has wrapped after the final shooting assignment: filming dramatic volcanic footage in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii. Hidden Pacific will transport audiences to the Pacific Ocean’s remote national wildlife refuge islands and marine national monuments, capturing the beauty of the ocean and these emerald islets, the conservation efforts to restore their ecosystems, and the diversity of life on both land and reef. The film is produced in association with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and affiliated organizations.
August 18, 2017—Giant Screen Films is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Giant Dome Theater Consortium (GDTC) on the upcoming release of Cuba, a groundbreaking giant screen documentary set for worldwide release on May 18, 2018. The GDTC is comprised of seven leading museums across the United States: the Science Museum of Minnesota; the Cincinnati Museum Center; Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago; Discovery Place, Inc., Charlotte; Museum of Science, Boston; Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, San Diego; and the St. Louis Science Center.
May 25, 2017—Aircraft Carrier, directed by veteran IMAX-format filmmaker Stephen Low (Rocky Mountain Express, Fighter Pilot) and produced and distributed by K2 Communications and Giant Screen Films, held its world premiere at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC, on May 24. A public launch follows at the Smithsonian and in a number of other markets on May 26. Aircraft Carrier is a giant screen, immersive film packed with adrenaline-laced visuals and human stories that pay stirring tribute to the crucial role modern aircraft carriers play in maintaining the freedom of the seas, and keeping the sea lanes open for commerce.
