May 7, 2020—From The Verge.com: Movie theaters across the country are closed, but some drive-ins are seeing a resurgence in the wake of social distancing practices. Now, Tribeca Enterprises (the company behind the Tribeca Film Festival), IMAX, and AT&T are partnering to bring a summer movie series to as many drive-in theaters as possible in the US. January 20, 2020—London's Science Museum is adding the IMAX with Laser system alongside its IMAX 17/50 film projector, making it one of only two screens in Europe to feature digital and analogue cinema side by side. April 12, 2019—IMAX Corporation and Lochmann
Filmtheaterbetriebe, a leading German Independent cinema operator, have
announced an agreement for a new IMAX® theatre to be located in a new addition
in the Traumpalast Leonberg multiplex in Leonberg, Germany.
The new theatre, which is expected to open in 2020, will feature IMAX's
groundbreaking laser experience and an estimated 38-meter screen—marking the
largest IMAX screen in the world.
