December 19, 2022—Cincinnati Museum Center’s Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater has been a staple of museum visits and field trips for over three decades, taking viewers to the farthest reaches of the universe, beneath the waves of the sea, across pristine natural landscapes, to the edge of smoldering volcanoes and hundreds of places in between. The OMNIMAX® Theater has dazzled millions and, this week, welcomed Jett, its nine millionth viewer.

December 8, 2021—The Ontario Science Centre proudly celebrates 25 years of delivering
engaging and educational large-format films in the OMNIMAX® Theatre with
the opening of original IMAX® film,
Asteroid Hunters on December 15. “We’re delighted to celebrate 25 years of sharing the unique and
immersive cinematic experience of the OMNIMAX® Theatre with visitors to
the Ontario Science Centre,” said Paul Kortenaar, CEO, Ontario Science
Centre. “Our steady lineup of outstanding educational films continues
with this latest space film about the brilliant minds and intriguing
science behind detecting and tracking asteroids. We can’t wait for our
visitors to see it.”
December 4, 2019—The Saint Louis Science Center reopened the newly renovated OMNIMAX Theater on Friday, November 29, after undergoing a four-month, comprehensive update, the largest since the theater opened in 1991. The renovated OMNIMAX Theater is just one of four domes in the world featuring IMAX with Laser.

November 16, 2018—Cincinnati Museum Center's Union Terminal $224 million restoration will be unveiled to the public this weekend, but the upgrades to the 85-year-old building won’t be coming to an end just yet. The Robert D. Lindner Family Omnimax Theater will reopen in late December after a $3 million improvement including the installation of Imax with Laser.
