The California Science Center has welcomed Nicholas Svorinich as its new Director of Marketing. In this role, Nicholas will lead marketing and advertising strategies designed to increase attendance, drive revenue, and strengthen awareness of the Science Center’s exhibitions, educational programs, IMAX films, and membership and donor initiatives.

Nicholas will also play a key role in developing and launching a strategic marketing plan for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, an important expansion of the California Science Center.

With more than a decade of experience in marketing, audience development, and communications, Nicholas brings expertise spanning performing arts, live entertainment, technology, and mission-driven organizations.

Most recently, he served as Director of Campaign Marketing for Pacific Symphony, leading audience acquisition, retention, and subscription campaigns across more than 300 annual performances and events. Previously, he was Chief Marketing Officer for Florida Grand Opera, overseeing marketing, earned revenue, audience development, and patron engagement.

His earlier experience includes positions with Ojai Music Festival, Long Beach Opera, and DNA Spectrum, a science and technology startup.

“I’ve spent a lot of my career thinking about what inspires someone to discover something new, experience it for the first time, and then want to come back for more,” Nicholas shared. “The chance to do that here, with a mission built around curiosity, discovery, and learning, is pretty special.”

GSCA congratulates Nicholas on his new role and looks forward to working with him as he helps introduce new audiences to the California Science Center and its IMAX experiences.
