April 26, 2017—GSCA is excited to announce that we have selected Museum Playbook as the agency partner to develop a marketing symposium to be held on September 29, 2017. The symposium is part of the GSCA International Conference and Trade Show on September 26-29 in Chicago.
About Museum Playbook
Museum Playbook is a collective of museum professionals that work to make experiences more relevant to audiences through innovative content, targeted marketing and technology. They build flexible teams tailored to specific projects to provide expertise across a wide variety of visitor engagement work. Founder and CEO, Despi Ross, and experienced visitor researcher, Charity Counts, are leading the GSCA project.
A Peek Inside the Process
Museum Playbook will conduct an online GSCA member survey and visit 5 theaters to gain a complete understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by the giant screen industry. They will conduct interviews on site with museum and theater staff, talk with visitors and audit marketing materials.
About the Symposium
The GSCA Marketing Symposium Task Force is coordinating the symposium, lead by Mark Katz (D3D Cinema/Giant Screen Films) and Andy Zakrajsek (COSI), who are also co-chairs of the GSCA Event Planning Committee. Armed with real-world observations, Museum Playbook will assist the task force in building a game plan for the symposium. This team will identify topics and speakers from a variety of industries to break old habits, push boundaries and spark creativity. The result will be a fun, action-packed day that leaves you with a laundry list of ideas to try at your venue. The Marketing Symposium is included with the Conference All Events Pass, and those wishing to participate in the symposium only may attend on a Conference Day Pass.
