GSCA Announces Locations for the 2018 Film Expo and the International Conference and Trade Show

The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce the dates and locations for the association’s 2018 events. The 2018 Film Expo will be hosted by the Pacific Science Center and Boeing IMAX Theater in Seattle, Washington, on March 12-13. The Film Expo will feature screenings of new giant screen films, films in production, and projects in development. Ontario Place Cinesphere IMAX Theater to Reopen

October 26, 2017—The Ontario Place Cinesphere will soon be back in action as a full time IMAX movie theater. The province is expected to announce this week that the historic theater, first built in 1971, will re-open to the public for regular screenings this November. Spokane's Riverfront Park IMAX Set for Demolition in November

October 19, 2017—The Riverfront Park IMAX building in Spokane, Washington, will come down in November, readying the park for its next phase of construction. The decision to demolish the IMAX theater came in September 2016, but its fate had been discussed for years. A master plan for the park’s redevelopment, agreed to in 2014, called for closing the IMAX because of declining revenues.
