January 6, 2016—The Naval Aviation Museum theater will close for two months while undergoing an extensive renovation, its first major upgrade in 20 years, which will include a conversion from film to digital with a Christie premium laser-illuminated 2D projection system and full 4K resolution, installed by D3D Cinema. Putnam Museum Previews New Giant Screen Global Soundscapes Project from Foxfire Interactive, Masters Digital, and Purdue University

January 5, 2016—The Putnam Museum and Science Center got a sneak peek Sunday of a new global effort to record and archive a vast array of sounds. The museum was chosen as one of five “beta” sites worldwide for a new type of giant-screen experience—interactive as well as visual. "It's not just a movie—it's an experience," President/CEO Kim Findlay said of the Global Soundscapes project. GSCA 2016 Conference Will Be Held in Toronto on October 4-7

December 22, 2015—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce that its 2016 International Conference and Trade Show will be held on October 4-7 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. GSCA Announces 2016 Officers and Committee Chairs

December 21, 2015—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce its Board of Directors has elected Officers and Executive Committee members, as well as Committee Co-chairs for 2016.   Gordon Stalans (Tennessee Aquarium) will serve as Board Chair. Mark Katz (D3D Cinema/Giant Screen Films) will serve as Vice Chair. Jonathan Barker (SK Films) will serve as Secretary. Berend Reijnhoudt (Omniversum) will serve as Treasurer.
