November 10, 2014—IMAX Corporation today announced that Paramount Pictures' and Warner Bros. Pictures' release of writer-director Christopher Nolan's Interstellar blasted into IMAX® theatres in record-setting fashion, grossing $20.5 million from 574 IMAX locations worldwide. Director Credits Late Legendary Montreal Producer for Jerusalem 3D

October 27, 2104—Jerusalem 3D is dedicated to iconic producer Jake Eberts, whose legacy was honoured on Tuesday with a screening and a reception in his memory at the Montreal Science Centre. On hand for the event was Jerusalem 3D writer-director, Montreal native Daniel Ferguson, whose involvement in the project was due in large part to his mentor, Eberts. IMAX to Introduce Laser Projectors with The Hobbit

October 15, 2014—IMAX Corporation  plans to use the next Hobbit installment in December to introduce a laser projection system based on technology licensed from Eastman Kodak Co. in 2011. Giant Screen to Be Installed at AutoNation IMAX Theater

October 8, 2014—A giant 60-foot by 80-foot screen was  installed at the AutoNation IMAX Theater at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale on Monday morning. Why Theater Owners Aren't Happy About Christopher Nolan's Interstellar Film Initiative

October 2, 2014—On Wednesday, Paramount and Warner Bros. said theaters still equipped to project 35mm and 70mm film will get Nolan's Interstellar two days early, on Nov. 5, including 41 IMAX locations. Nolan, who has a strong relationship with exhibitors, is a fierce advocate of film, and he's got enough clout with studios to make his passion a reality, but theater owners say the Interstellar experiment sends a confusing message.
