Three Giant Screen Documentaries Win Awards at the Blue Ocean Film Festival

November 25, 2014—The winners of the 2014 BLUE Carpet Film Awards were announced November 7 at The Mahaffey Theatre in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. COSI Reopens Its Planetarium with the Evans & Sutherland Digistar 5 Fulldome System

November 24, 2014—COSI in Columbus, Ohio, has reopened the state's largest planetarium, which had been closed since 2004 because of budget shortfalls. COSI chose a Digistar 5 digital Fulldome system from Evans and Sutherland for the new theater, which has 200 seats under a 60-foot diameter dome. IMAX Laser Projector Has Kodak Origins

November 21, 2014—The IMAX/Kodak connection first was tied in October 2011, when IMAX signed a licensing agreement giving it exclusive rights to more than 50 Kodak patents covering laser projection technology. Robert Griesmer Settles Into His New Role as Director of the Virginia Air and Space Center

November 21, 2014—A Long Island, N.Y.-native, Griesmer spent more than two decades at museums in Norwalk and West Hartford, Conn., before accepting a job at the Virginia Air and Space Center in September. The initial attraction, he said, was to the museum's mission and the financial support it received in recent years from the city and from NASA.
