November 10, 2014—IMAX Corporation today announced that Paramount Pictures' and Warner Bros. Pictures' release of writer-director Christopher Nolan's Interstellar blasted into IMAX® theatres in record-setting fashion, grossing $20.5 million from 574 IMAX locations worldwide. November 10, 2104—The Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley’s public science center, has announced plans to partner with National Geographic to open the National Geographic 3D Theater on Saturday, November 15, 2014. November 5, 2014—Four prizes, as well as two "jury's favorites," were given during Dimension 3 Festival's award ceremony, an event showcasing the best in international 3D and 4K content. October 27, 2104—Jerusalem 3D is dedicated to iconic producer Jake Eberts, whose legacy was honoured on Tuesday with a screening and a reception in his memory at the Montreal Science Centre. On hand for the event was Jerusalem 3D writer-director, Montreal native Daniel Ferguson, whose involvement in the project was due in large part to his mentor, Eberts. October 17, 2014—The Science Museum of Virginia welcomes international leaders of the giant screen industry for an exclusive summit in the recently upgraded Dome theater. October 15, 2014—IMAX Corporation  plans to use the next Hobbit installment in December to introduce a laser projection system based on technology licensed from Eastman Kodak Co. in 2011. The projectors will be used with the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, on Dec. 17, according to Chief Executive Officer Rich Gelfond.
