HARD DRIVE & FILE NAMING REQUIREMENTS

Drive Format

  • Mac (HFS+) or Windows (NTFS or FAT32)
  • Do not use exFAT
  • Clearly specify the drive format upon delivery

File Naming Conventions

  • Alphanumeric characters only
  • No spaces
  • No special characters (no commas, quotation marks, $, %, &, *, parentheses, etc.)
  • Example: reel_4_abc_000020.tif

FINAL IMAGE DATA REQUIREMENTS

Regulatory Status

  • All delivered content must have passed censorship approval.

Image Sequence Files

  • No subtitles
  • No on-screen text embedded in the picture
  • Accepted formats:
    • 16-bit TIFF (XYZ color space), or
    • 10-bit DPX (P3 RGB color space)

Technical Parameters Must Be Clearly Specified

  • Color space
  • Gamma curve
  • White point
  • Resolution
  • Frame rate

On-Screen Text

  • Must be delivered separately
  • Format: 4K MOV file with alpha channel

Flat

  • 3996 × 2160 (4K)

AUDIO DELIVERABLES

5.1 Mix Stems

  • WAV format
  • 24-bit
  • 48 kHz or 96 kHz
  • Must be in sync with picture

Dolby Atmos (If Available)

  • MXF format

Important:

Atmos MXF frame rate must match the CINITY version frame rate, especially for High Frame Rate (HFR) versions such as:

  • 48 fps
  • 60 fps
  • 120 fps

SUBTITLES

Subtitles must correspond exactly to image source reels.

Required Format

  • 4K DCI XML subtitles
  • Include XML file + TTF font library

3D Films

  • Must provide 3D XML files including Z-axis information

Multiple Languages On Screen

  • If more than one language appears simultaneously (e.g., Chinese and English), both languages must be included within a single XML file

EDITORIAL SOURCE MATERIAL

EDL

  • CMX3600 EDL for each reel
  • Correct timecode required
  • Not a grading EDL

QuickTime Reference Files (Per Reel)

  • Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) OR
  • Avid DNxHD36
  • Frame rate must match image source
  • Burn-in timecode and frame count required
  • Guide track audio: composite stereo mix
