GSCA Next Frame: Giant Screen Filmmaking Workshop

GSCA Next Frame gives the next generation of filmmakers a rare opportunity to learn the craft of giant screen cinema by doing it.

Over four intensive days in California’s Alabama Hills National Scenic Area, 35–40 university film students work alongside experienced giant screen professionals using IMAX film and digital cinema cameras. Students learn how composition, movement, camera technique, production planning, and storytelling change when images are created for the world’s largest screens.

It’s hands-on learning that few traditional film programs can offer—and an investment in the filmmakers, cinematographers, producers, and storytellers who will shape the future of giant screen cinema.
