William Shatner Narrates Wingsuit Flyers

Legendary actor, storyteller and cultural icon William Shatner is the long-awaited voice for Wingsuit Flyers: Science of Flight! The film tells the epic journey of world-class wingsuit flyers challenging new records, taking their leap in the Swiss Alps, the monumental red cliffs of Moab, Utah and over the Great Barrier Reef.

As Captain Kirk of the Starship Enterprise for 79 episodes of Star Trek, and a real visitor to space via Blue Origin in 2021, Shatner is a true inspiration with a massive world  fanbase transcending generations. At over 90, the star exudes an energy that may just be the secret sauce to his longevity. Shatner remains active with recent film projects and a forthcoming book involving his fans called William Shatner…And You, slated for late 2026 release to coincide with Star Trek’s 60th anniversary.

Last year on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Shatner was introduced saying, “You should be passionate about everything…name a verb and you should be passionate about it. Don’t do it half-heartedly, whatever it is that you do. Do it fully, do it passionately, do it with your whole being.” Our wingsuit flyers would agree, standing from the edge of the Eiger at 11,811 ft, ready to forge new paths in unassisted human flight. Wingsuit Flyers is a love letter to the spirit of adventure and redefining what’s possible, aided by careful planning, knowledge of the environments and flight science.

Shatner’s gravitas, thirst for exploration and passion for life makes him just the storyteller for Wingsuit Flyers. Unlike any celebrity voice, the actor with Shakespearean stage beginnings is also known for his narration work.

The Shatner narrated version will be available in 2026 in 3D and 2D versions.
