September 20, 2014—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce the winners of its 2014 Achievement Awards, which recognize excellence in giant screen filmmaking, marketing, and lifelong learning. The awards were announced the evening of September 20 at the opening reception of the GSCA 2014 International Conference and Trade Show at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto.

During the reception, which was sponsored by IMAX Corporation, winners of the IMAX Maximum Image Awards were announced as well. GSCA and IMAX also recognized two IMAX theater projectionists for their contributions to the industry: John Giffords for his 41 years of service at Ontario Place and Ontario Science Centre, and Peter Herb for 35 years at Detroit Science Center and Michigan Science Center.

The following awards were presented by GSCA.

The IMAX Hall of Fame Award goes to a giant screen film that is at least 10 years old and is selected by vote of the IMAX theater network.
