April 4, 2019— As part of the Walk Bridge replacement project, Connecticut's Maritime Aquarium IMAX Theater will be taken down and replaced with a new 4D theater. The theater's replacement is part of the Maritime Aquarium Functional Replacement Project, wherein the state will functionally replace what is taken at the facility as a result of the Walk Bridge project. March 9, 2019—Building on the success of the acclaimed Laser CineDome platform, D3D Cinema and Christie are pleased to announce the groundbreaking next generation upgrade–Gen2–featuring Christie’s new D4K40-RGB pure laser projectors. February 5, 2019—Evans & Sutherland (E&S), provider of Digistar, the world’s leading digital planetarium system, has acquired 10 of the new Christie® D4K40-RGB RealLaser™ projectors for its Dome Demonstration Center and for installation in the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) planetarium in Huntsville, Alabama.
