Canadian Museum of History Theater Converts to Barco Digital Projection

March 1, 2016—The Canadian Museum of History theater is changing its name from IMAX Theatre to CINÉ+ in anticipation of a newly acquired digital laser film projector. “We can no longer call it IMAX Theatre because we are no longer affiliated with IMAX,” said Michèle Canto, director of marketing and business operations at the museum. Colin Low, Canadian Documentary Filmmaker, Has Died at 89

February 25, 2016—Colin Low, whose experiments in large-format cinema contributed to the development of IMAX 3D film, died Wednesday in Montreal.
