Colin Low, Canadian Documentary Filmmaker, Has Died at 89

February 25, 2016—Colin Low, whose experiments in large-format cinema contributed to the development of IMAX 3D film, died Wednesday in Montreal. Born in Cardston, Alta., in 1926, Low would work on more than 200 productions at the National Film Board over a career that spanned more than 50 years. Read the full article from the CBC here.

Jennifer Lawrence to Narrate A Beautiful Planet

February 22, 2016—A new IMAX 3D space movie promises to let you "experience Earth like never before." Judge Rules for IMAX in $376K Lawsuit Against The Whitaker Center

January 13, 2016—A federal judge has ruled in favor of IMAX Corp. in its $376,000 breach of contract lawsuit against the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. The decision U.S. Middle District Senior Judge Sylvia H. Rambo issued this week puts the downtown Harrisburg facility on the hook for defaulting on a multi-year lease for its former IMAX movie projection system. National Air & Space Museum's Lockheed Martin Theater Runs Its Final 70mm Print Before Converting to Digital

January 11, 2016— On Sunday evening, the National Air and Space Museum showed its last movie on the 70mm IMAX projector.
