December 2, 2015—The official U.S. premiere of Space Next 3D, a space documentary produced by Afterglow Studios and distributed by BIG & Digital, takes place December 4 in the newly renovated Giant Screen Theater at the National Infantry Museum (Columbus, Georgia). December 1, 2015—During his 15-year tenure with the company, Don Savant helped develop the IMAX® brand to become the premier cinematic format–both in Asia-Pacific and elsewhere. November 30, 2015—IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) and Toho Cinemas Ltd., Japan's highest-grossing exhibition company and a subsidiary of Toho Co. Ltd.,  announced an agreement for 10 additional IMAX® theatres. The deal brings to 11 Toho Cinemas' IMAX footprint, all of which are among the highest-grossing sites in the country. Japan currently ranks among the top 10 highest-grossing IMAX territories globally, with per-screen averages of approximately $1.2 million, mirroring those of leading markets such as China. November 24, 2015—Cinematographer James Neihouse has joined the American Society of Cinematographers as an active member. Membership to the ASC is extended by invitation to those who are actively engaged as directors of photography and have demonstrated outstanding ability. November 17, 2015—On Monday, Tennessee Aquarium president and CEO Charlie Arant announced his retirement to staff and volunteers by thanking them for their service during his more than 20-year tenure. On March 20, 1995, Arant became the third president and CEO in the Aquarium's history.
